A line of small Van Gogue sunflowers on the far side of the vegetable garden. Every year I replant many different varieties of this beautiful annual. The gold finches flourish in and amongst the seed heads in late summer and the decorative aspect are endless. Posted by Hello

Oh Dear. This has reminded me of how much I love sunflowers. And that I can never grow them (I love the Russian Giants) as the parrots absolutely demolish them.
Me too! When I started my gardens here I scattered about 10 different varieties aboutand continue to add to the lot. My artist friend creates some unbelievable sculpted paper framed ones that you cannot tell the difference. We have a great time with the botanicals, I grow them and she capture them behind glass w/paper.
